APPLICATIONS

The PMC-2 Mainline Air Filter/Purifier is designed for permanent installation to compressed air line. Bulk liquid impurities such as water and oil, settle to bottom of casting, and are expelled through manual drain. Remaining impurities such as oil aerosol, oil vapor, fine particles and other foreign matter are removed by disposable activated carbon cartridge. The PCM-2 Mainline is recommended for installation before Koby Air Purifiers for applications such as air breathing, or when visual signs of condensed water and oil are present at point of air use.

INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT

Install on high Pressure side of regulator on compressed air line using standard pipe fittings. Drain off bulk liquid contaminants periodically through manual petcock. Replace disposable activated carbon cartridge every 60 days from date of installation, or immediately if accidentally saturated with liquid water and oil.

AIR BREATHING DATA

Laboratory tested Koby Air Filters and Purifiers are extremely effective in removing harmful contaminants from compressed air supplied to respirators, masks, and hoods. The PMC-2 Mainline and Junior Model Air Purifier should be installed in series as shown below for lubricated air systems. The Junior Purifier should not be considered a substitute for the Mainline Air Purifier: however, it provides additional protection against vapors, aerosols, and particulates. Purifiers can be operated continuously in series for 60 days, and replaced thereafter, or when a noticeable odor is detected in compressed airstream.

WARNING: Koby Air Purifiers, as well as other activated carbon purifiers, will not remove carbon monoxide, or carbon dioxide. It is the responsibility of the end user to test, and control the proper levels of carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide, from the compressed air source. Proper location of compressor away from processed emissions, and contaminated atmospheres is essential.
